Oneida Lake Subwatersheds

Hi, Anne.

This map is a result of "sampling" a very detailed set of GIS data form the Madison County Planning Department. While the GIS system is has thousands of geographic points in its description of the watershed boundaries, this map is the result of plotting 150 points from each sub-watershed.

You can probably tell that the choice of "which" 150 points best describe the region is important. You can see that the basins overlap in some places on my map, likely due to my method.  I am not sure I grabbed the best points, but it is still probably useful in a classroom setting, even if it isn't completely accurate.

This sort of map, coupled with this map could help teachers and students in the classroom.
